Beginners Silver Clay Jewellery
Learn how to create your own unique silver jewellery using silver clay . This one day class is suitable for complete beginners as well as jewellers looking to expand their skills base.
Silver clay is a fantastic material made of pure silver particles, bound together with a malleable organic clay binder. The clay can be worked like ceramic or modelling clay, and then dried out, refined and edited, and then is fired in a kiln or with a blow torch which burns away the binder, leaving a solid silver model.
In this class we will work through two or three projects experimenting with different ways of working with the clay, taking the process from start to finished fired and polished jewellery ready to wear.
