Beginners - Make a Silver Ring - Taster Session
This is a half day taster class designed for beginners who would like to try out making silver jewellery.
Students will design their own ring - be it a set of stacking rings or a shaped and decorated band and then create it from scratch - using silver wire or sheet, ready to wear home.
We will cover creating surface patterns on the ring with hammers or punches, shaping and forming the metal, soldering, piercing (cutting out), as well as sanding and refining the finished piece/s and then polishing the silver ready to wear.
Class size - maximum of 4 people
Class runs for half a day, either 10am-1pm, or 2-5pm - easy to pair up with an early brunch, or an afternoon of shopping for a girls day out or a special treat for a celebration!
Great also as a taster session for anyone thinking about starting to make their own silver jewellery.
This class is held in my Camden, central London, jewellery studio and runs roughly every other month, but additional dates can be added on request and also available as 1-1 private tuition at a date and time to suit you.
All materials needed are included in the price and your ring/s are yours to take home.
Tea, coffee, cold drinks and nibbles are available throughout.
