There are some great options if you'd like some time out to watch an inspiring film...
My favourite two films / series of the moment are; -

Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Matisse - hosted by the Royal Academy of Art - https://www.royalacademy.org.uk/article/exhibition-on-screen-documentary-painting-the-modern-garden-monet-matisse

Secrets of the Museum - on BBC IPlayer - https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/m000f1xt/secrets-of-the-museum

If you've found a film, video or series that you've enjoyed and found inspiring - do share in the comments below!

I know I've mentioned CraftCast before, but this is a fun and useful video from yesterday's free webinar - on possibly the most asked questions regarding silver / metal clays - can / should i torch fire this piece...

Well Cindy Pope - a US metal clay artist answers just that in this video - it is free to watch - you will need to go through the 'checkout' process, but there is no charge for this...

The Beadworkers Guild - A UK based membership society have recently published a new project - using Peyote stitch to create ribbons  or strips of beading - to use as a bracelet, bookmark, or to link together into a necklace or sampler...

http://www.beadworkersguild.org.uk/keep-busy-beading.php

The guild also have a directory of basic beadworking stitch instructions available to the public here - if you've thought about trying beadworking, but weren't sure where to begin, or if you fancy trying out a new stitch - these are great resources...

(if you become a member, you can access much more in depth tutorials and education modules, as well as receiving their quarterly magazine full of news and projects)

Jewellery Making Resources #4

There are lots of free, and paid for resources available online for jewellers and this series of posts will highlight some of the ones that I think are the most useful...

Craft Cast is another great jewellery makers resource - they produce high quality video classes and tutorials, by some great makers - offering all sorts of jewellery making skills.

These are classes you do need to buy - but they are well worth the money, if you buy a class, if it is a new one - you can watch it live when it is launched, but you can also watch it again / whenever you like as it will be stored in your 'library' so that you can access it again and again, watch and pause it whenever you like, as you follow the project at home - you also get a pdf of the notes to download with each course.

They currently have a 30% off any course and while we're all working from home, they are also running free hour long webinars each Wednesday where they chat to different tutors and look at different techniques - search on their website for 'Fun at One'...
