Beginners Silver Jewellery Making Weekend
This is a two day beginners class designed for you to get started with making silver jewellery and learn some of the key basic skills.
Students will work to create a set of silver jewellery - a ring, earrings or necklace and a chain bracelet.
We will cover; -
forming and shaping your metal
learning to solder to join the silver together
creating surface patterns on the metal surface
piercing (cutting the metal)
as well as sanding and refining the finished piece/s and then polishing the silver ready to wear.
We can be flexible over the two days - you can adapt your designs and make your own variations on this theme
Class size - maximum of 3 people - there will be plenty of individual support
Class runs from 10am to 5pm - there will be a one hour lunch break where you can explore the market and food stalls or relax and refuel in a local cafe.
This class is held in my Camden, central London, jewellery studio - this is close to both Camden Town tube station and Camden Road overground station.
The workshop is downstairs, so if you have mobility issues / have trouble manoeuvring stairs, then do get in touch before booking.
This course runs every few months, but additional dates can be added on request and it is also available as private tuition at a date and time to suit you, or a group of friends.
All materials needed are included in the price and your jewellery is of course yours to take home and show off.
Tea, coffee, cold drinks and nibbles are available throughout.
