Beginners - Wrapped Pebbles - Evening Class
Have a relaxing evening creating your own collection of wrapped rocks / pebbles as home decorations or for meditation.
This is a short taster class designed for beginners to create their own gorgeous wrapped Zen pebble / decorated rock.
Students will make at least one (probably several) of their own decorated pebbles - using natural rattan fibre, with the addition of twigs / nails / washers to add further detail.
To create these wrapped designs, we work with rattan - traditionally used for basket weaving. The rattan strips are soaked to become flexible, and tightly wrapped around the pebbles while they are wet. Once the ends are all tucked in and trimmed, the piece can dry out and be enjoyed yourself, or given as a gift.
We will cover up to 3 different designs for the wrapping and you'll get to choose from a selection of different pebbles to try these out on.
- Class size - maximum of 3 people.
- Class runs from 6.30 - 9.30pm.
- All my classes are for over 18s.
- My workshop is in Camden Town, in north / central London, an area full of great cafes and shops, as well as the famous markets - also close to London Zoo and the British Museum if you'd like to make a day of it, or grab some food before / after!
- The main workshop is down stairs on the lower ground floor, so if stairs are a problem for you - please check before booking.
- This class repeats regularly, and is also available as private tuition for groups of 1-3 people at a date and time to suit you.
- All materials needed are included in the price and your creations are of course yours to take away.
- Drinks and nibbles are always available.
