Beginners - Kumihimo Braided Bracelet - Evening
This is a short taster class designed for beginners to create their own bracelet made using a contemporary variation of a traditional Japanese braiding process.
Students will make a bracelet in their choice of coloured threads and glass seed beads. Great as a taster session for anyone thinking about starting to get creative with braiding, or just as a fun evening out with friends.
To create this bracelet we will be using a needle to load the beads onto the chosen threads, and then using a foam disk as a loom to work the braid. We will secure the ends of the braid and attach a metal clasp ready to wear the bracelet.
Class size - maximum of 3 people
Class runs from 6.30 - 9.30pm
My workshop is in Camden Town, in north / central London, an area full of great cafes and shops, as well as the famous markets - also close to London Zoo and the British Museum if you'd like to make a day of it, or grab some food before / after!
All my classes are for over 18s.
The main workshop is down stairs on the lower ground floor, so will be difficult for students with mobility problems - if stairs are a problem for you - please check before booking.
This class repeats roughly every other month, and is also available as private tuition at a date and time to suit you.
All materials needed are included in the price and your creations are of course yours to take home.
Drinks and nibbles are always available.
