Beginners - Try Silver Clay Jewellery - Taster Session
This is a fun, half day, taster class designed for beginners who would like to try out silver clay.
Students will design and make their own solid silver charm, working with this innovative material that can be modelled just like clay, but is then fired and polished to leave the solid silver pendant ready for you to wear home.
We will cover creating surface patterns and making shapes with the clay, joining elements together, including setting a fireable gemstone and then refining, firing and polishing the silver ready to wear.
Class size - maximum of 5 people
Class runs for half a day, either 10am - 1pm, or 2-5pm - easy to pair up with an early brunch, or an afternoon of shopping for a girls day out or a special treat for a celebration!
Great also of course as a taster session for anyone thinking about starting to make their own silver jewellery. Silver clay is fun to work with and to continue practicing with on your own at home and needs less specific tools than traditional metalworking does.
This class is held in my Camden, central London, jewellery workshop.
