Designing with Silver Clay - 2 day intermediate level course
Learn tips, tricks and new techniques to boost your existing metal clay skills, and learn design skills to make your finished pieces more personal.
During this intensive two day class we will cover a variety of skills to help you create unique pieces of jewellery and start to find your own style. Improving your technical skills as well as discussing design processed. Techniques we will cover will include different ways to make your own customised texture sheets (including photopolymer plates), stone setting and embedding fine silver wire or elements, and then we will use these in creating one or more finished pieces such as a hollow form bead/pendant, a ring, or a chain bracelet.
Exact techniques covered will be flexible and depend on students' individual experience, their interests and the designs they decide to create.
Suitable for jewellers who are already comfortable working with silver clay and are looking to expand their skills to create more complex and more unique designs.
