Mindful Jewel Stone C - Silvery
This natural soapstone is specially selected, then hand cut and carved to accentuate its natural properties, before being given unique metal highlights. The stone comes with a hand braided cord to give the option to wear the piece as a necklace, or just to hold the stone as an item of beauty and contemplation.
Mindful Jewels Collection
These jewels are created to be beautiful and wearable in their own right, but also to be particularly tactile and specifically made to fit in the hand, to be held and touched, to ground and centre the wearer, or to encourage a mindful awareness. Some are worn as neck pieces, some can be hung from a belt, so they are always easily accessible, and their hanging weight will be a reminder or their presence.
They can be held and used as a form of worry bead or comforter, or they can be used to meditate - mindfulness is primarily about becoming more aware of the present moment, without judgement and without thinking about past or future problems - many meditation exercises focus on the body or the breath, but these jewels offer an alternative focus - for taking time out to calmly be aware of their shape, their feel, their weight and the different textures and temperatures of the different materials, enabling the wearer to return to their daily activities refreshed.
Created from a combination of soft soapstone, and solid metal, as these pieces are held, worn and used over time, the stone shapes will gradually change and adapt to how their wearer uses them. If they are repeatedly held, they will gradually change shape, they will start to show a story of their life.

Necklace length - 130cm maximum - adjustable (each cord is handmade by me and slightly different)
Necklace cord is deliberately created long, so the stone can hang long and can be easily reached to handle. The long length also means that the necklace can pass over your head, so no undoing of a fiddly clasp needed! Just knot the cord at a length that suits you, and wear the fringes down your back.
The necklace cord is made of Tencel fibre, which can be gently hand washed if needed.
