Accessibility
There is a step at the front door.
Beading and braiding classes are held on the ground floor. The toilet, and the main workshop are downstairs (semi-basement), so if you struggle with stairs, please do get in touch before booking.
Jewellery making / metalwork can be quite hard on the hands. If you struggle with hand strength or mobility, something like beading or braiding, or working with silver clay give the least stress to the hands and arms.
Location
Full address details and directions are provided by e-mail with your booking confirmation.
In person classes are held at my dedicated workshop space in Camden Town, London NW1. North / Central London, outside the congestion zone, in zone 2 on the tube. The space is just a couple of minutes walk from Camden Town tube station (Northern Line), or equally from Camden Road overground station. Not far also from Kings Cross / St Pancras / Euston main line rail stations. Busses 1, 24, 27, 29, 31, 46, 88, 134, 168, 214, 253 and 274 all stop very close by.
Timing
Most classes start at 10am, but check your booking confirmation for full details of the time and date of your class session/s as this does sometimes vary, and can be altered to suit you for bespoke days. Evening classes start at 6.30pm.
On the Day
For everything except beading / braiding classes; - please wear solid / closed shoes and older clothes for your workshop session for health and safety.
If you wear reading or other glasses – do bring these with you – a lot of jewellery making involves small details and the better you can see the work, the easier it is!
Magnifiers are available for your use on the day if needed.
You are very welcome to take photos and make additional notes during the class if you wish. You will also receive printed and/or digital copies of information handouts to accompany your session and act as a reminder of skills / techniques / steps to complete your projects when you return home.
Bring any ideas, inspiration, photos or pictures that you might have collected with you.
You do not need to bring any materials or tools unless you'd particularly like to - all materials and the use of any tools needed are provided.
Bookings and Confirmations
Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment – an automatically generated receipt is issued from the website, and within 2 working days a booking confirmation e-mail will be sent to you directly from [email protected] – this will include details of your booking, address, date, time, as well as any preparation needed or special instructions.
If you don't see this e-mail - please do check your spam folder, and if you still can't find it - do get in touch directly.
If multiple bookings are received for a particular date / workshop, then places will be allocated in the order the bookings are received.
If a booking cannot be confirmed for any reason, a full refund or a transfer to another course will be offered.
Booking Changes
If you need to change the date or cancel your booking – please get in touch as early as possible.
Bookings can only be cancelled or altered if needed up to 2 weeks – 14 days before the class date.
If it is less than 14 days before the class date – a refund or change of booking will only be possible if I am able to re-sell your place to another student.
If I need to cancel or reschedule a class for any reason, I will give at least one week's notice (more where possible) – in an absolute emergency this may be the night before – please make sure that I have your correct contact / e-mail details and you check for messages before travelling.
