Handmade Braided Necklace Cord
Handmade braided (Kumihimo) cord - length approx. 1m with knotted and fringed ends..
Length may vary slightly.
Each braid is made by me, by hand, using a Japanese Marudai (braiding stool) from fine strands of Tencel fibre. I braid them to create a textured and subtly patterned cord that can be worn as jewellery, or of course, for many other uses...
I use these and wear them regularly and these cords withstand (gentle, occasional) machine washing with no problem.
I have a stock of most options available and ready to go, but please be aware I may need to make your braid to order, and the time for this will depend on my current workload, so please contact me by e-mail at [email protected] if your order is urgent..
Custom colour variations are also available and will be quoted individually and made to order, depending on yarn availability.
Made in your choice from my range of 5 colours shown (please specify your choice of red, blue, lime, teal or black when ordering).
Wear on its own, or use to hang a pendant you already own.
Standard cords are approx. 4mm diameter,
Thin cords are approx. 2.5mm diameter - please let me know which scale you would like.
Add on a solid silver coiled toggle bead that you can use to fasten the cord, or adjust to change the hanging length of the cord, for an additional £35 (drop me a message at [email protected])
