Beginners Jewellery - Silver Clay Essentials - One Day Class
This is a full day jewellery making class designed for beginners to try out making silver jewellery using the magical material of silver clay.
Students will design and make their own silver jewellery - either a series of charms for a charm bracelet, or make a pendant / earrings if you prefer..
A full introduction to the key techniques used in working with silver metal clay to create solid silver jewellery items.
We will cover all about silver clay and students will learn how to work with moulds, texture plates, cutting and forming the clay in several different ways, and then moving on to including fireable gemstones to add some colour and extra sparkle. The clay will then be dried, refined, and then fired using a blowtorch and polished ready to wear.
Class runs from 10am to 5pm - with a one hour lunch break where you can visit one of the many local cafes.
Class held in person, in my studio in Camden, London NW1 - near Camden Town tube station and Camden Road overground station.
**The workshop is down stairs on the lower ground floor and therefore not suitable if stairs are a problem for you - sorry!**
Can also be arranged as private 1-1 tuition, or if you have a group of friends that would like to come together!
Maximum class size of just 3 students - to allow for plenty of support and advice as a group and as individuals throughout the day.
Drinks and snacks are available throughout but your lunch is not included - there are lots of cafes very close by.
